Further to the debate in Parliament in October 2014, the Government have agreed to disclose all papers in their possession relating to Primodos. It is thought that there are documents which may be useful to campaigners that have been campaigning for years to prove a link between the drug and birth defects.
George Freeman, Health Minister has made assurances that the Panel will comprise of independent and impartial experts to review the Primodos documents. Mr Freeman suggested this should be carried out by the Medicines for Women’s Health Expert Advisory Group, which contains independent experts.
We hope that the Primodos victims don’t have to wait too long for the Panel to be created and for the documents to be reviewed.
